Premio Art Jewelry Forum


This is the thirteenth year that AJF will be providing a cash award to a contemporary jewelry artist.

2011 EAA Winner
The jurors for this year are Farrah Al-Dujaili, the 2011 EAA winner, Kelly L'Ecuyer, the Ellyn McColgan Curator of Decorative Arts and Sculpture, Art of the Americas, at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston and Marjan Unger, a Dutch collector, curator and writer on jewelry.

The purpose of the award is to acknowledge promise, innovation and individuality in the work of an emerging jewelry artist and to help to advance the artist's career. The competition is open to makers of wearable art jewelry who:
  • have completed their academic/professional training;
  • have been out of school for one year or more with date of graduation at least one year from date of application submission for the EAA;
  • work submitted must have been unsupervised; work from BFA or MFA shows may NOT be submitted. 
Deadline for submission is September 30, 2012. More information about the award may be found on the AJF website. Applications may be submitted beginning June 21, 2012 at www.callforentry.org.

The winner of this year's competition and $7500 cash award will be announced during SOFA New York (International Exposition of Sculpture Objects and Functional Art Fair), which is being held April 12-15, 2013. The artist's work will be exhibited at one of AJF's member galleries taking part in the fair.
